Salem, Indiana Manager – Chad Rickard

How long have you been with Baird Homes?

I have been with Baird for over 22 years since May of 2000. I’ve worked as a Sales Center Manager at the Baird Home lot in Salem since October 2004.

What do you feel sets Baird Homes apart from their competitors?

Their longevity in the business, and having the assets needed to stock more homes and back more projects than almost all of our competitors. Baird cares about doing things right for every customer and will go the extra mile if one of their clients has legitimate issues.

What are three of your top-selling floor plans?

Top selling plans are the Adventure models (in the Mojave series) 0684F, 0603K, and the Adventure single-wide model # 6522W with a porch option across the end.

What would you like for our readers to know before coming to our Sales Center?

I want customers to know that we have product lines from 4 different manufacturers available to us here. We also carry everything a person can want when it comes to manufactured housing. HUD code single-wide and doublewide models and True Indiana State Code Mods. When they receive pricing from our location they will know what the home price is going to be, including all delivery/set-up vs. some of our competitors who tend to leave a lot of those types of items out of the prices they are quoting.

What type of community outreach programs does the Salem location participate in?

In the last two years, we have donated $500 to the Washington County Sheriff’s department. This is to supplement drug education programs for kids, etc.

What’s an interesting fact about you? 

I am a licensed MLO (mortgage loan originator) for the State of Indiana, so I will know a lot more about how financing programs for homes work vs. an average Joe in this business.

Vincennes, Indiana Manager – Bob Hanson

How long have you been with Baird Homes?

I’ve been with Baird Homes of Vincennes for over 25 years.

What do you feel sets Baird apart from their competitors?

Baird Homes has been in business since 1947, making it one of the oldest and most reputable manufactured home sales in the area.

What would you like for our readers to know before coming to our Sales Center?

Our Sales Center would like to welcome customers into a worry-free zone. At Baird, we don’t hound or pressure you into purchasing a home. We will never make a promise we can’t keep, and won’t lie to you. Purchasing a home can be a stressful situation. Some things happen that can be out of our control, but if we can help you in any way that will better your experience, we will do our best. These homes have evolved and no longer carry the stigma of being a trailer. With many different floor plans, each home can be customized to fit your needs.

What type of community outreach programs does the Vincennes location participate in?

We like to stay active in the community and sponsor an assortment of organizations that benefit different needs within the community as it changes.

What’s an interesting fact about you?

An interesting fact about me is that you can have a free cat with the purchase of any home.

Seymour, Indiana Manager – Chris Beverly

How long have you been with Baird Homes?

I started in January 1989 – 34 years and counting.

What do you feel sets Baird Homes apart from their competitors?

Longevity. I think it’s important to know that Baird Homes has been around for a long time and has experienced the highs and lows of the manufactured housing business. This helps to be prepared for the future.

What would you like for our readers to know about before coming to the Sales Center?

Do some homework by making sure you are financially ready. Know what payment you can afford. Know if your credit is good enough to qualify for the payment you’d like. Know whether you have enough of a down payment or land equity to begin the purchase.

What’s an interesting fact about you?

Several years ago I was blessed with the recognition of the #1 Salesperson in the State of Indiana by one of our manufacturers, Fleetwood Homes.

Anything else you’d like for our readers to know?

I live in what I sell. I have raised my family and still enjoy the modular home I purchased from Baird Homes in 1997.

Madison, Indiana Manager – Rick Morgan

How long have you been with Baird Homes?

I started in 2000 – going on 23 years here.

What’s an interesting fact about you?

I’ve been married for over 40 years. My wife and I have five children and three grandchildren. One of my kids is currently serving 16 years in the Navy and another in the Marines.
